Why Cycling Strength Exists

Cycling is one of the most repetitive sports there is.

Hours in the same position. Same movement pattern. Same stress on the body—day after day.

Over time, that adds up.

Tight hips. Weak stabilizers. Lingering pain. Missing out on fun rides with friends.

Most cyclists try to fix this with resting and hoping it gets better, or generic strength programs that aren’t tailored to them.

That’s where Cycling Strength comes in.

This coaching system helps bridge the gap between riding and what your body actually needs off the bike.

Meet the Founder

Hey, I’m Matt, a strength and conditioning coach based in Colorado.

I got into this work for two simple reasons. I love helping people, and I’ve spent a lot of time learning how to take care of my own body so I could keep doing the things I love. I grew up skateboarding, which meant a lot of trial and error, a lot of setbacks, and a lot of learning along the way.

Over time, it just made sense to bring those two things together. Helping people move better, feel better, and stay connected to the activities that matter to them.

My coaching background spans a wide range of athletes, from high-level golfers and endurance athletes to people who simply want to feel good day to day. What’s always stood out to me is that real progress comes from consistency. Staying healthy, staying patient, and continuing to show up over time.

A few years ago, I found cycling and was immediately hooked. It gave me those same feelings that skateboarding gave me growing up. Working through challenges, building resilience, and finding a lot of meaning in the process.

Cycling can take you to incredible places—physically and mentally.
